  • OTI (On The Interchange) is a mobile platform built to help pop-up vendors, food trucks, and mobile businesses connect with their customers in real time. It allows businesses to share their live location, gain followers, send notifications, and build a customer base that travels with them.


  • Yes, OTI is currently free for both vendors and users. Additional premium features may be introduced in the future.


  • You can download OTI on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Just search for “OTI – On The Interchange.”


  • Yes, users can still follow your profile if they scan your QR code or find your link. However, we recommend keeping your profile live during events or while you’re active to maximize visibility. If you are not live, they will not be able to travel to your location.

  • You can follow a vendor by scanning their QR code, finding their profile via event hashtags, or searching for them in the app.

  • When a vendor you follow toggles their profile live, you’ll get a real-time notification with their location and profile.

VENDOR OPERATIONS & VISIBILITY

What happens when a vendor changes locations during the day?

OTI does not automatically track your real-time location. If you relocate during operating hours without toggling off and updating your address in the Edit Profile section, your profile will still show your previous location as live.

This can confuse customers or send them to the wrong place — we recommend updating your location any time you move.

What happens if a vendor forgets to update their location or go live?

If you don’t toggle your Pinpoint live or update your location for the day, users may be unable to find you — or worse, they may be directed to an outdated location, which we refer to as a “ghost pop-up.”

For the best experience and visibility, always go live and keep your location accurate.

Is there a map view available in the app?

Currently, OTI does not offer a full map view. However, vendors who are live appear in a location-based discovery feed.

A true map-based discovery feature is part of our product roadmap and will be introduced in a future update.

Is there a filter or way to view vendors by operating hours?

No. OTI doesn’t use set operating hours. Vendors indicate availability by toggling themselves live, which automatically notifies followers and activates visibility in the feed.

This real-time model allows for flexible hours but requires vendors to actively manage their availability.

VENDOR INSIGHTS & FEATURES

Can vendors see how many users have visited their profile?

At this time, OTI does not display profile view metrics for vendors. However, this is a feature we are actively exploring and plan to incorporate in the future.

Will vendors be able to respond to customer reviews?

Yes. Once the reviews and ratings feature launches, vendors will have the ability to respond to customer feedback directly through their profiles. This functionality is part of our product roadmap.

Can users message vendors directly through the app?

Yes. OTI includes OTIChat, a direct messaging feature that allows users to message vendors securely. This helps facilitate communication for questions, custom orders, or event follow-up.

How does OTI verify vendor legitimacy?

OTI is designed to remove barriers to entry, so anyone can create a profile and go live within 10 minutes using a valid social login.

We do not pre-screen or verify vendors, but we actively monitor content for safety, illegal activity, and compliance with our privacy policy.

Users are encouraged to report any suspicious or inappropriate profiles directly through the app.

DISCOVERY & PERSONALIZATION

Can users search for vendors based on dietary preferences like vegan or gluten-free?

While OTI does not currently have built-in dietary filters, vendors can tag their profiles with terms like “vegan,” “gluten-free,” or “halal.”

Users can search these tags to discover vendors that align with their dietary needs.

Does OTI offer personalized vendor recommendations?

Not yet — but personalized recommendations based on user behavior and preferences are part of our upcoming feature set.
